What comes due after registration, and how often

Published 2026-07-16 · Updated 2026-07-16

Registration is a single event. Compliance is a recurring obligation, and the calendar of what's due tends to get built ad hoc, after a first missed deadline rather than before one. Annual returns, tax filings, and license renewals each carry their own schedule, and the schedules rarely line up with each other or with a company's financial year by coincidence.

A missed annual return is usually recoverable with a late fee. A lapsed sector license is a different problem, since operating without a current license can void contracts or trigger a separate penalty process depending on the sector and country. The gap between the two is why a compliance calendar earns more attention after the first year of operation than it usually gets in the first.

This download sets out the recurring deadlines relevant to the countries and sectors covered on the site. Where obligations are sector-specific or change year to year, as regulatory requirements do, a market entry advisory engagement can confirm the current calendar for your exact situation rather than a general one.
