Workflow automation software for connecting business tools
Zapier, Make, and n8n, compared for connecting a form tool, CRM, and email platform without custom code.
Workflow automation software exists to move data between tools that weren't built to talk to each other directly, a form submission that needs to create a CRM record and trigger a welcome email, for instance, without someone copying information between three separate systems by hand.
Zapier has the widest library of pre-built integrations and the simplest setup for a single, linear workflow, at a price that rises quickly once a team needs more than a few thousand monthly actions. Make (formerly Integromat) covers a similar range of integrations with a visual, branching workflow builder that handles conditional logic more directly than Zapier's linear model, at a lower cost per action. n8n is self-hostable and free at that tier, which suits a team with someone comfortable maintaining a server, but adds setup and maintenance work that Zapier and Make both handle as part of the subscription.
This site's own Tally-to-HubSpot-to-MailerLite flow runs on Make, mainly for the branching logic and the lower per-action cost as volume grows, worth knowing if you're comparing the same three tools for a similar setup.
