Six Sigma certification training providers

Six Sigma certification isn't administered by a single central body the way PMP is by PMI, which means the choice of provider affects how recognized the credential is in a given industry more than it does for some other certifications.

ASQ (the American Society for Quality) is generally the most widely recognized name among the three, particularly in manufacturing and quality-management-heavy industries, at a higher price than the other two and with a more rigorous exam format. The Council for Six Sigma Certification and Six Sigma Global Institute both offer lower-cost, self-paced online certification paths that are accepted in many contexts but carry less name recognition with employers who specifically screen for ASQ credentials.

Someone certifying for a role at a company with a strong internal quality function, where the credential itself gets checked closely, is better served by ASQ despite the higher cost. Someone certifying mainly to demonstrate the underlying skill set, without a specific employer requirement tied to the credential issuer, is reasonably served by either of the lower-cost options.
