PMP certification training providers
PMI's own prep resources, Project Management Academy, and Simplilearn, compared for someone preparing for the PMP exam while working full time.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) administers the PMP exam itself and sells its own prep materials, which cover the exam content directly but assume a level of self-direction that not every candidate has time for while working full time.
Project Management Academy runs structured live and virtual bootcamp- style courses aimed specifically at PMP preparation, with a pass-guarantee policy that several providers in this space now offer as standard. Simplilearn's PMP course is self-paced and lower-cost, aimed at candidates who want structured video content without live sessions, though completion rates for fully self-paced courses are generally lower than for cohort-based ones across the online learning industry.
A candidate with dedicated study time and self-discipline is served reasonably well by PMI's own materials at the lowest cost. A candidate who needs a deadline and live instruction to actually finish the prep tends to do better with a structured bootcamp, at a higher price that reflects the added structure rather than better content.
